Hangs in Liberty Hall
Located in Lawrence, KS, Liberty Hall
was constructed in the 1850’s as a theater to serve a college town. Now primarily used as a performance venue, the
1,000-seat theater consulted with Kent
Clasen, President of MSM Systems, to
install a system to facilitate band riders,
meet coverage requirements and SPL
needs, while keeping sightlines clear for
widescreen movies that stretch within
1 foot of the proscenium. Using an
EASE 3D acoustical model of Liberty
Hall and several product demonstrations, a Nexo GEO S 12 Series was
selected for its high output and low
visual impact.
A Yamaha M7CL- 48 was installed
at Front of House, while a ProCo
Liberty Hall, in Lawrence, KS, where a Nexo line array was installed.
40-channel splitter snake handles the
stage and Front of House connections.
The flown main PA consists of eight
Nexo S1210 with two S1230, with
four ground-stacked S2 subwoofers.
Yamaha’s T5n amplifiers were flown 8
feet off the ground, downstage to preserve space. Two PS15 loudspeakers
are flown as a center channel for movie
reproduction. n
