Turner Field, home of Major League Baseball’s Atlanta Braves, generally
upgrades its audio system every 10 years. The stadium, which seats 49,831 people for
baseball games, opted to change out their sound system late last year. After debating
what route to take, the organization decided to go with custom-built loudspeakers that
would easily be installed in the venue.
Baker Audio ( www.bakeraudio.com), conveniently located in Atlanta, GA, was
responsible for the retrofit install, with Project Manager Joe Kimsey leading the way.
Danley Loudspeakers were selected for the project, with Mike Hedden being the point
contact for the install. Hedden commented on Baker Audio’s local history, and why

Danley’s Genesis Horns,
developed for this project,
provide broadband amplitude
shading so even coverage
from 15 feet in front of the
horns out to over 100 feet.
